To start creating a Google Business Profile, first you need to sign in to your Google account you want to associate with your business. If you don’t already have one, you can create your Google account by following the simple steps given below:
How to Create Google Account (Gmail):
- Go to the Google Account creation page: https://accounts.google.com/signup
- Fill out the required information, including your first and last name and click “Next”

- Fill your date of birth and gender information, desired email address, and password. You’ll also need to confirm your password.

- Enter your desired email address. You’ll need to choose a unique name that hasn’t already been taken by another Gmail user.

- You’ll also need to create a password for your Gmail account. Make sure it’s secure and unique, containing a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols to enhance security. A secure password is the first line of defense against unauthorized access to your Gmail account.

- You may be asked to add a recovery email or phone number for account security and recovery options. Adding a recovery email and phone number to your Google Account is a proactive step to safeguard your account and ensure that you have a way to recover it in case of password issues or unauthorized access. It’s an important component of maintaining your account’s security and accessibility.

- review Google’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. If you agree, hit “Next.”
- Complete the CAPTCHA (if prompted) to prove you’re not a robot.
- Your Google Account is now created. You can use this account to access various Google services, including Google Business Profile.
How to Create Google Business Profile:
- After signing in to your Google account (Gmail), go to the Google Business Profile webpage: https://www.google.com/business/
- Click “Manage Now” to get started.

- Enter your business name in the “Business name” box. Google will try to locate your business if it is already created on Google Maps.

- If your business appears in the list, select it.

- If you don’t find your business on Google Maps, click “Create a business with this name.”

- Google will ask you to select a business category as well. Choose the most relevant category that describes your business. This helps Google understand what your business is about.

- After carefully putting your business name and category Google will ask to add your business locaiton. Choose “yes” and proceed next.

- Add your business address with precision. Entering your business address accurately in your Google Business Profile is a critical step in the setup process. It helps customers find your physical location and provides valuable information for local searches and map results.

- Now Google will ask you to locate your address on Google Maps by clicking “adjust” button. Once you adjusted your address accurately on Google Maps by placing the pin, proceed further.

- After that Google will ask you to put other details like delivery options, service area, phone Number, and your website. Provide all this accurately. In your Google Business Profile, you can indicate if your business offers delivery services. Make sure to provide clear and accurate details about the types of delivery services you offer, such as delivery, shipping, or any other relevant options. If you have a specific service area for delivery, you can define it in the “Service Area”.

- Your business’ phone number is vital for customer contact. Provide an accurate and active number that customers can use to reach you. Opt for a local or toll-free number that’s easy to remember, and ensure the number is correctly formatted, including any necessary area or country codes.

- Google may need to verify your business to confirm that you are the legitimate owner or representative. You can choose to verify your business via sms, phone call, or through video. Follow the verification process based on your choice.
Once your business is verified, you can complete your Google Business Profile. Add additional information, such as your business hours, photos, videos, and a description. The more details you provide, the more helpful your profile will be to potential customers.
Google Business Profile is a vital tool for local businesses to establish their online presence, build trust with customers, and drive foot traffic or website visits. By keeping your profile accurate, engaging with customers, and optimizing your listing, you can effectively compete in the local market and attract more potential customers to your business.
